Tribute to a Great Elder

TRIBUTE TO A GREAT ELDER
Elder as we fondly called him is one of the Fathers in Church that every young person loved because of his kindness, generosity and large heart. I also admired his humility because many times in church before you could even greet him, he already greeted you in his lovely accent “Osas Gudivening”. I loved it. In all, I want to say one thing about him that I observed the years I knew him which is he was a man that practiced 1 Timothy 6vs6 whole heartedly. That scripture says “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” That was his life and as we mourn, I pray his memories and his legacy give his wife and children solace and strength in this trying period in JESUS Name. Amen
Much Love. Osas.

Elder was indeed a Father to all of us.
I remember the visits to the house at uwasota, sharing fellowship while enjoying home made golden groundnuts, fish and the likes, we all loved it. Elder was always concerned about everyone’s well-being.
Elder was truly an example of JESUS to all of us not just in words but in his humble and very simple dispositions and actions.
we truly have happy/blessed memories of Elder and pray GOD’S comfort for his dear family.
‘Emos'(like he called me)

Elder Adamasi was always willing to extend a hand of love and care and speak up for the excesses of us teenage and young adults while not withholding the rod of correction. His down to earth and simple nature was something I always admired while growing up. It was great to have people like him as Examples of the believer while growing back and looking back these are some of the examples we saw as kids that have most likely shaped our outlook of life and the practice of our faith.
Ererosa

Elder was a Father to us all, he was kind and calm. He wouldn’t pass you on the road and not offer to give you a ride even if you were almost at your destination. I remember always wanting to follow my dad to Elder’s house cos there would be fish and golden groundnut ☺️. Thinking of him and I am all smiles, the memories of Elder will always be cherished

Peaceful and Calm

I was daddy’s stockbroker in Nigeria. Daddy was a calm, peaceful, and loving father. He was very considerate when interacting with people. Always considers others’ feelings. I have never seen or heard him angry with anyone. May his kind soul rest in peace in Jesus’ Name

A Saint Gone To Meet His Creator

Elder Adamasi,a selfless, unassuming, dedicated and committed servant of God,who does everything committed to him with every sense of responsibility.
We happened to be in the same fellowship then and also lived in the same area.He used to carry our children and every other child in the area to the staff school then. He did it with all commitment that his vehicle became the children’s car,an experience the children never forgot.
It was the same experience in the fellowship and amongst brethren. His loyalty to God’s work and leaders was never in doubt. He loved God and his people genuinely. He was peaceful and sought peace all his lifetime. The last time I heard your voice was in Ghana when you said you were quite a distance from our conference venue and will make sure we see when next I visit which never happened till this your departure to glory.I pray the legacy you left will transcend your descendants.Rest In Peace.

Tribute to my meek and humble Elder

It was a shock to me and my hubby when we saw the post of your demise on your son Facebook page we taught it was celebration of his birthday, when I looked intently I found out it was all about his demise, that day was shattered for me, but I am consoled that the saint don’t die.
My humble, kind and meek Elder was a good man who serve God with the whole of his life teaching the children the ways of the lord, even as a teacher then in the church, he taught an live by what he is teaching living an examplilary life showing good examples to younger generations.
Elder Adamasi foundly called by all was too kind to all ,I cold remember when my husband hosted his Ipman members in ekpoma how he kindly allowed his wife to follow me to assist in the hosting. When I told him I needed the services of his wife, he didn’t hesitate. He was a father to all in CGM. Before he relocated to Ghana.
We can not question God why, we love you but God love you more.
Rest on my elder on till the ressuration morn

A mighty hero has fallen

It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of one of the church most widely and highly respected leaders, Elder Moses Adamasi. Who represented Christ very well in and outside the church.
He was a man of integrity, very honest and humble in every aspect of assignment that was given to him. Also, his ability to cheerfully motivate and mobilize other members in a gently and softly voice was a great asset and in fact, we miss him. 2nd Samuel 1:25-27 says; “Ho. how a mighty hero has fallen” Elder Moses Adamasi now lied dead. How we weep for you. It is not Goodbye but Goodnight because we will see you again on the resurrection morning. Adieu!

A TRIBUTE IN HONOUR OF OUR DEARLY BELOVED BROTHER, ELDER AND FRIEND, MOSES TEYE ADAMASI

Our brother, elder, and friend was a convinced Christian who held on to the tenets of our faith and demonstrated by his lifestyle what could be described as a Bible based Christianity.

We could easily see in him as a family man, as a Church member, as a worker in the office and as a neighbour in the society an individual whose desire was to always pattern his life according to the demands of Scripture.

Elder was a champion of the welfare of church members, and he pursued this cause at the expense of his personal comfort and that of his family. The doors of his house were open to all in the then Ugbowo Provincial Headquarters and the Churches under the Province.

On a personal level, he was a brother, friend, and elder to us as a family. We enjoyed his company, and our relationship with him naturally extended to his wife and children.

The Song Writer in the Refrain to his hymn says:

“Only remembered, only remembered,
Only remembered by what we have done.
Thus, we would pass from the earth and its toiling,
Only remembered by what we have done.”

Certainly, Elder Adamasi will be remembered for what he did.

It is written in The Bible that “The memory of the just is blessed…” (Proverbs 10:7).
Indeed, the memory of Elder Adamasi, who was made just by The LORD JESUS CHRIST, is blessed.

Although the exit of our Elder from this world is sad and painful and we would certainly have wished that he lived and stayed longer with us, we however take solace in the words of Scripture:
“But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”
(1 Thess. 4:13-14)

Thus, in line with Scripture, we believe that we will see our brother, elder, and friend, Elder Moses Teye Adamasi again.

Adieu Daddy

A gentle, soft spoken and loving dad he was. He exemplified meekness and humility and simplicity.

During visits to his home in Benin, I remember how soothing his fatherly words of advice were to me.

He will forever be missed! We are assured that since he passed on in Christ, he is in a far better place and in a short while we will be reunited with him in glory.

Rest in Peace Dad!

An ELDER indeed

My elder, words fail me, but I am consoled by the fact that you lived a good and exemplary life of Christ. You made Christianity so easy by the way you lived, I moved into your home during my final years in UNIBEN and never did you raise an eye brow over it, even moving in with my friend Chioma, My Elder I remember how he will go into the kitchen and cook for the whole house and trust me, his meals tasted the best, always neat, always punctual and soft-spoken . Your marriage to your wife(babe) was a perfect example and I remember telling him that I needed such grace when I got married because it was rare. Daddy we hoped you could spend more time here on earth 🌍 with us but you have answered the call of your maker, Rest on Sir till that resurrection morning when we Shall see without pains but similes

Farewell to an amazing father figure in my life

Mr Adamasi as we popularly called him was my lecturer back then in Uniben. He was a good man. He was kind to students and shared gifts(Chin Chin, Peanuts) made by his wife with his students. I really appreciate all he did for me while he was alive, the encouragement and advice I received especially with regards pursuing my doctorate. He was a lover of Christ, even though I am sad about his dismiss, I am definitely confident in Christ that he is in a better place now at the right hand side of God Himself. I pray for the mercy of God upon his soul and I pray his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God continue to rest in peace Amen 🙏.

A Peaceful and Faithful Person

Mr. Moses Adamasi was a very peaceful and faithful person as a staff of the Department of Geography and Regional Planning, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria, where served for decades. He was a notable gentleman who preferred to live with all in peace, and not wanting to hurt or offend anyone.

He responded to tasks and assignments given to him with a sense of responsibility and commitment and remained truthful and loyal in service.

He will be remembered for his humility, faithful and gentle services, which were reinforced by godly attitudes, disposition, and values in relationships.

A Gentle Spirit – tribute to Elder Moses Adamasi

Elder Adamasi was someone I have been opportune to know for over 3 decades. In those many years I have seen in him; a model of service, dedication, as a strong embodiment of Philippians 4:5 – “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near”

He was truly committed to his faith, his family and his community. Everyone who came in contact with him could attest to warmth of his presence. He knew how to be there for people when they needed him.

Within the academic faculty, he was of great repute, expending his time to impact both staff and students with his vast wealth of knowledge and interests. Beyond these, his faith shone in his dealings. Like Peter, you could tell that this one had been with Jesus.

To his family – Mrs Esther Adamasi, Patience, Emmanuel and Divine, your husband and Dad lived a great life and one that is to be cherished. We know it hurts to see him pass but please take solace in the life he lived and the impact his life has made on many.

ETERNAL FOOTPRINTS – A TRIBUTE TO MOSES ADAMASI’S LIFE OF SERVICE

In the heartland of Odumasi, where faith takes its stand,
Lived a friend, a beacon, a devout soul so grand.
For years he carried the torch of Christian light,
In humility and service, his spirit took flight.

A disciple of grace, in selflessness refined,
In the service of God, his purpose well-aligned.
Retired from the world’s stage, he returned to his kin,
A testament to love, a life well-lived within.

Ten years past, my wife ventured to that sacred space,
A pilgrimage of love to his familial embrace.
In the warmth of his hearth, tales of legacy unfold,
His children, devoted, hearts of silver and gold.

Survived by his dear wife, a partner in divine,
Children and grandchildren, a legacy enshrined.
In the tapestry of family, his essence weaves,
A testament to love that eternally grieves.

I miss him dearly, the conversations we’d share,
His laughter, his wisdom, a bond beyond compare
In the embrace of God, where joy knows no end,
A faithful friend, forever, my heart shall commend.

Elder’s flight to Glory

Elder was a Peace lover who never engaged In any undue arguments.
As we drove along to our garden, even when it’s clear that bus drivers or others have driven roughly, knowing that I will want to talk, elder will say, leave them that is how they behave that we must not join issues with them.
Elder was an epitome of a true disciple of Jesus. His humility was unequalled. Rest on until the resurrection morning my Elder my Elder. Bro. Jim

OUR ELDER, OUR FRIEND

Elder Moses Adamasi was a gift of God to human kind and I thank God that for many years I benefited from this gift. He lived as an example of Christ, he never takes sides, he stands for the truth. Indeed a man of integrity, We will miss him. He was very gentle yet gives prompt response to issues brought to him. We found Elder to be a godly father and a husband to one wife. Elder will never drop you halfway, he takes you to your doorstep. When you visit Elder and his wife they must look for something to entertain you raging from drink, to groundnut, to their very special butter avocados pear. He was a giver, he was never selfish, he gave himself solely for evangelism and the service of God to humanity. God bless the legacy you left for us all. May your wife, Children and grandchildren be comforted. Elder you lived well. Good night Sir.

A Moses (Meek and Humble) has gone ahead!

I remember Adamasi, we were not age mates but I could relate with him beacuase of his Humility and humbleness. He even called me ‘Uncle Frank’. Those days there was times I messed up, but Elder never embarrassed me instead he cleaned umess. He was a lover of God, who gave his all for the Lord. House chores that many men may not do, Elder did them so graciously and with such simplicity. This is a man I greatly admired in life and I pray that he finds peace with His maker. That’s all that truly matters. Good night my dear Elder. I wish I could bade you farewell, physically.

Elder Adamasi was a model

Elder Adamasi was a model Christian leader. His life was an embodiment of Paul’s words in 1 Thes 4:11; he led a quiet life, attended to his own business, worked hard both professionally and in the Lord’s vineyard, and imparted all around him.

In all my years of knowing him, one thing was clear to me; he truly loved God and loved God’s people. Even as my family and I mourn his departure, we find solace in the fact that he has gone to be with God, whom he loved so dearly. We are comforted by the knowledge that good people don’t really die. They merely sleep, until the resurrection morning when we shall all be reunited.

Rest on, dear elder. May God smile upon the works of your life and grant you eternal rest. Amen

As Long As There’s You

Upon hearing of the passing on to eternal glory of the Good Elder Moses(of our generation) Adamasi, the only thing that came to my mind was the song by Pastor Donnie McClurkin and l shall like to say to him…
“If there were no gates of pearl,
If there were no streets of gold,
If there was no other world oh ooo uh,
And a land where we won’t grow old uh huh,
I’m not thinking about those sights, no o oh uh
Won’t be there to enjoy the view, no, no
I think Heaven will be alright
Just as long as you’re there
As long as there is you”…

Que son âme répose toujours en paix.
Adieu Papa !

TRIBUTE TO ELDER MOSES TEYE ADAMASI – A MAN LIKE UNTO JESUS CHRIST.

My first encounter with Elder Moses T. Adamasi was in May 1990 when I joined Church of God Mission International (CGMi), Ugbowo, Benin City. We had interacted since then until 2013 when he left Nigeria for Ghana his home Country. We were still in contact until his demise last November, 2023.
Elder Adamasi was a Christian to the core. He was a genuine, simple, sincere and loveable believer in Christ. Simply put our beloved brother was an embodiment of Christ. Indeed, he was like Christ; humble, meek and generous almost to a fault.
Elder Adamasi served as the Church Treasurer for all the years I knew him in Ugbowo. He also served as Secretary to the Church Committee for many years. All through his service years he discharged his duties with utmost sense of integrity, credibility and dignity. Also Elder Adamasi taught regularly in the Sunday School arm of the Church for many years. He was a model and godly disciple of Christ to emulate and follow.
Elder Adamasi was an alternate Pastor, soldier of Christ and fellow worker in the Lord’s vineyard. He laboured in crusades and rural evangelism in the then Ugbowo Province of CGMi and did help established many Churches.
Elder Adamasi by his carriage commanded respect and lends himself as a trusted leader to follow.
On a personal level our brother was a reliable friend and uncle to me. Many times he was of immense assistance to me. He was always available and willing to spend and be spent for the brethren.
Elder Adamasi taught me how to drive when I acquired my first Car. He would leave his house very early in the morning to come to my house which was quite a distance. We would both leave for work in my Car as he instructed me to drive for about 2 weeks within the University of Benin premises. The LORD through him taught me humility and dignity of service as a believer in Christ.

There is so much to say about how you lived as Christ amongst us. Indeed, one of God’s Generals, though unsong has gone to be with the LORD. We are confident that though absent from the body, yet present with the LORD (2Cor.5:8).

Sleep on Elder Adamasi until we meet at the resurrection morning.
Adieu! Adieu! Adieu!

Tribute to a Rare Gem

Elder, as we called him is the founding father of the visitation team CGMi Ugbowo.
He never waited for a crowd; he could be described as the “visitation team’ as he
single-handedly drove the team. He was always on the move for God.
We remember him for his dedication to service, his tireless and relentless commitment to God and his work, and particularly the visitation team.
You indeed left a legacy for us and we try to emulate your precedence of dedication and commitment, trusting God to send in more labourers.
Rest on our elder.

TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER-IN-LAW

Dad You truly are a king, which is why I refer to you as such. Throughout your life, you achieved the seemingly impossible and had a good impact on many people. Since you possess every attribute of a monarch, I refer to you as a king. There is no one I would have preferred as my father-in-law.
We know deep down that you haven’t left us even though we can’t see your happy face or hear your voice.
You would be my father-in-law if I could start my life over.
I respect you a lot.
You remove every tear from my eyes. It makes me proud to be called your daughter-in-law.
You treated me as your own; your purity never wavered.
Rather than referring to me as your daughter-in-law, you always treated me as your true daughter.
May your gentle soul rest in the blossom of the Lord, And maybe full of peace. We love you.

TRIBUTE TO THE LATE ELDER MOSES TEYE-KWAME ADAMASI (BY THE FAMILY)

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith :Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown… (2Timothy 4:7-8)

The entire Kpotse (Adamasi) family are thankful to God for the saving hand laid on you at tender age.
You were the most loving child of your father, seen as the “walking stick”.
He obtained his formal education through determination and became the first graduate among the siblings.
He spent almost all of his working life outside Ghana. Upon his retirement he returned home and unfortunately his elder brother pass on.
He then assumed the position of the Head of the Adamasi family. As the head of family, he abolished pouring of libation in the Adamasi family, which is a great divine intervention.
We say God bless you for allowing yourself to be a blessing upon the family.
Fare thee well.
Rest in peace.
